  • As a parent that has had children go to public school and to Berean Baptist Academy. I can honestly say that my experience is that the teachers and staff at Berean Baptist Academy care for your child and they will do all that they can to make sure that your child is learning the curriculum. Not just pass them on. They truly have to earn the grades that they get. The students are expected to be respectful and have manners. If you are considering sending you children to this school I would highly recommend it.

  • My three boys have attended here all the years of their schooling. I like that they don't have to attend the indoctrination sessions at the public schools. The philosophy of the school is decidedly Biblical. That goes against the grain of many today. Responsibility, accountability, hard work, discipline and competition are all taught, promoted and pursued. That's one reason I have my boys here. The curriculum is Classical and Christian. The classical brings in elements like Latin, Logic, Rhetoric, Classical Literature and a lot of Writing, Speech, Debate and Competitive Arts. The Bible brings in things like New Testament Survey, Bible Doctrines, Baptist Catechisms and others. I've been very please at the results from this style of education. The school is moderately strict, much less, though, than where I grew up. I've found the staff to be approachable, helpful and conscientious. If you're looking for a small-school environment that will shield your children from destructive influences and teach a constructive worldview that lines up with your Christian background, I'd highly recommend it. One more thing, if you enroll your kids here, you have to be ready to work with your kids. The curriculum becomes very challenging and thought provoking in the upper levels. Without a good work ethic and support structure, students will struggle. With it, they'll surpass past their early college peers. I'm way more concerned with my children's worldview than with talent, sports or "opportunities". This school has served us well for 12 years.
